曼联官方社媒晒出查尔顿的照片，配文：“俱乐部的传奇，世界的偶像。一年前的今天，博比-查尔顿爵士去世。他已逝去，但永远不会被遗忘。”

博比-查尔顿1937年10月11日出生在英格兰诺森伯兰郡阿辛顿，他出自曼联青训营，1956年至1973年期间效力红魔，为曼联出场758次，打进249球，赢得3座英格兰顶级联赛冠军、2座社区盾冠军、1座足总杯冠军和1座欧冠冠军。

国家队层面上，查尔顿在1958年4月19日完成英格兰首秀，为英格兰队出场106次，打进49球，赢得过1966年世界杯冠军，并获得1966年金球奖。

2023年10月21日，博比-查尔顿去世，享年86岁。
